"Vintage Door" necklace
There are some pretty great things about living in rural Door County, Wisconsin, an old-timey vacationland. (Also known as "Wisconsin's Thumb." Or, according to some necklaces and keychains I've made, "Wisconsin's Boner." The more you know!) It's a beautiful place that people from all over have been visiting for a long, long time, so there are lots of amazing vintage Door County postcards to be found. I like to make them into necklaces - you cut them out, carefully cover them with many layers of Mod Podge and one perfect layer of resin. You can even add some fun bits and pieces - like the brass bird, below. It's like pretty history you can wear.
